Role Description

• Responsible for material, in-process and final shipment quality control as defined in IMPACTIVA’s inspection manual (80+ pages)
• Capable of learning and executing on a day-to-day basis very rigorous processes and procedures
• Generating his/her own inspection reports using a laptop
• Maintain a good working relationship with all customers and factories’ personnel (including top management and factory owners) and fellow TM (Team Members)
• Perform 5th Quality Gate Audit for Pre-Final Inspections.
• Check if the Factory QCs having relevant document such as Approved Samples, Approved Shade Bands, PO copies, Packing/Labelling instructions, Tech Pack, Risk Assessment and Testing Reports. Pre-Production Meeting Notes, Fit comments, Measurement Chart and tools such as measuring tape, defect stickers that are required for inspection along the rework and reject bins.
• Evaluate if the inspection table has lighter surface with proper lighting conditions as provided in the Client Manual and have a light box in the inspection room for shading check.
• Evaluate if the Factory QCs verify size run, carton labelling and packing procedures while opening the master cartons for inspection.
• Evaluate if the Factory QCs carton selection procedure for sample pick followed as per Client inspection manual to perform final inspections covering all sizes from top middle and bottom cartons.
• Evaluate if the correct AQL sampling plan selected and measurement audit performed as per sampling plan .
• Evaluate if the Factory QCs perform Garment/Shoes inspection as per the procedures provided in the Client manual.
• Evaluate if the Factory QC performing Fit Trials during inspections as per the procedures outlined in the Client manual.
• Evaluate if the QCs perform manual pull tests of buttons, snaps, ornaments and attachments as per Client testing procedures.
• Evaluate if the QCs are aware of Defect Classification List
• Evaluate if the QCs pick up non-conformity of Garments / Shoes during inspections.
• Evaluate if the QCs record and non-conformity with appropriate defect categories in the inspection log book / inspection tab.
• Evaluate if QCs are aware of inspection procedures and know how to fill the inspection reports.
• Validate the goods passed by Factory QCs to check if there are any false positives or false negatives found in the approved goods and record findings.
• Perform shadow inspections along with Factory QCs from start to finish of inspections to evaluate inspection SOP compliance and update findings.
• Capable of learning and executing on a day-to-day basis very rigorous processes and procedures.
• Generating his/her own inspection report and audit evaluation reports on a laptop.

Qualifications

• Good spoken English
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of PC (Windows, Outlook, Excel)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the apparel industry including strong exposures to.
• Material inspection (fabric and accessories).
• Understanding and identifying various types of fabric defect.
• Conducting measurement audit.
• Knowledge on AQL (Accepted Quality Level) sample plans.
• Knowledge on final product defects.
• Final shipment inspection.
• In-process quality control.
• Knowledge on different print types and associated quality requirements.
• Knowledge on different patch work processes and associated quality requirements.
• Knowledge on pin-tuck processes and associated quality requirements.
• Machine setting.
• Needle types.
• Smocking process.
• Review and report PPS (Pre-Production Sample).
• Conduct PP (Pre-Production) meeting.
• Review & Report TOP (Top Of Production) samples.
• Shirring process.
• Pattern check.
• Heat seal process
• Different types of fabrics and their properties.
• Different types of Washing programs and their properties.
• Practical stitching.
• Review and report prototype samples.
• Review and report sales samples.
• Knowledge of QMS procedures and internal audits.
• Technical Specification Sheet, Fitting procedures and SOPs.
• Knowledge on Defect Analysis using Fishbone, 5Why Analysis and Corrective Action Plan.
