QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Economics, Controlling, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant business experience necessary.
• Experienced in Finance and Controlling projects and activities.
• Ideally experience in cost, general accounting, and budgeting in a global process-driven manufacturing company.
• Knowledge of management.
• Ability to work on own initiative with strong multitasking capabilities.
• Leadership skills and an ability to implement financial policies and procedures are essential to this role.
• Ability to implement Company’s regulatory requirements in an effective and efficient manner.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with a range of different stakeholders. Presentation and analytic skills are important.
• Planning and organizational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Written communication skills with proven experience in a variety of written forms including policy documents, web content, correspondence, and business cases.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English with the ability to convey and explain complex policies and guidelines.
• Knowledge of production costing methodology, experience in profitability analysis, and product cost calculation and business intelligence applications.
• Very good knowledge in SAP FI/CO and ERP understanding relative to operational transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Independent responsibility for production site and logistics controlling managers and economical consulting for operations in strategic decision making .
• As a member of the Operations Management Team provide reporting and analysis regarding all operations management relevant dimensions like PPS/LPS report, cost center report, profitability, standard product costs reports, investment reports including variance analysis and the subsequent presentation of forecasts, analysis.
• Implement the Finance & Controlling strategy to achieve defined targets.
• Promote the Vision, Mission and values of Festo through actions, training, communications and leading by example.
• Prepare budgets, review budget proposals and assist operations management in measuring financial operating performance and results against budget.
• Takes active participation in international project teams on the further development of methods and tools for Controlling Operations.
• Evaluate and confirm cost saving initiatives within the track excellence tool.
• Implementation of Controlling according to Global Festo Standards
• Inform and advice the Management Team, facilitate executive management business performance reviews.
• Exchange information with Finance and Controlling teams to ensure reporting is accurate and consistent between Actual and Budget.
• Responsible, together with HR, for staff recruitment, training and development in the area of responsibility.  
• Role model and coach for the local company values and culture.
• Provide guidance within the organization when there are finance related topics;  in collaboration with outsourced service providers, purchasing,  etc.
• Oversee entire controlling activities of the production site in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide tools and support for planning, monitoring costs and efficiency, and demonstrating cost impacts of planned activities.
• Deliver value-adding financial information to the operations management team for strategic decision making.
• Ensure accurate internal reporting including cost accounting, financial planning, controlling, financial management, and headcount planning in alignment with HR.
• Review and analyse forecasts to define financial measures and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with global standardized processes and procedures.
• Evaluate and confirm cost-saving initiatives within the track excellence tool and perform saving calculations.
• Collaborate closely with asset accounting for asset controlling.
• Lead annual and quarterly CAPEX process, analysing profitability especially for investments, make or buy decisions, and cost-saving measures.
• Organize and participate in stocktakes and review inventory.
• Coordinate with Controlling teams to ensure accurate and consistent reporting between Actual and Budget.
• Provide value-adding financial information for strategic decision-making.
• Enhance tools and processes to realize company targets efficiently and cost-effectively in alignment with cluster finance.
• Improve financial and operational reporting using SAP financial systems and Business Intelligence cubes.
• Collaborate with Global controlling and Finance department to strengthen functional alignment with HQ and develop controlling competency within the country/sub-cluster.
